Web site fun

Today brought snow to the DC area. Snow. On March 25th. Having spent several years in the Boston area (where we one time got hit with a huge snow storm on April 1... irony NOT lost on me), I understand what it takes to navigate my car and myself through snowy streets. The majority of the citizens of DC don't have that same understanding. I've decided to sit at home for a few extra hours and allow the DC drivers plenty of time to reach their destinations, after which I will venture out (on foot) to the gym.

I'm spending these few hours at home adding and updating the video clips on this site, as well as updating my resume. I'm also attempting to blog for the first time ever. The idea of keeping a professional blog is new and different for me. I'm hoping it helps my clients gain insight into what I do, what I value, my vision and passions.

I am between projects right now. Sometimes this is a relief, sometimes a stress. This time around the gap in between projects has allowed me the wonderful opportunity to get myself to the gym almost every day... I'm actually feeling fit and ready for Spring!

I've also spent a good deal of time during this break considering the future and how I would like my career and my life to progress in the coming years.  I don't shy away from change and forging a new path presents some interesting and exciting challenges... but more on that another time.

Tomorrow I will be working with the Human Rights Campaign, editing a short video intended for the web. The Supreme Court begins hearing arguments on the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act and I'm happy to work in support of the HRC. They fight the brave fight every day. I have nothing but admiration for their cause and am happy to lend my skills to their cause.
