Man oh man. Time flies when you work 12 hour days consistently for 3 and a half months!
Good? Bad? Jury is out. I will say this: I don't normally get sick. I'm one of those people who is annoyingly healthy, who skips through the winter with barely even a sniffle. Since September I've had knock down drag outs with two different colds. Shall I blame the work load? Stress? The lack of good air circulation in my work space. All f the above?
New to news
I enjoy a good news magazine show. "60 Minutes," "Rock Center," "Nightline," the pre-crime and pedophile-filled "Dateline." These were smart and endlessly fascinating shows. So, presented with the opportunity to work on a similar show, I jumped on it. Of course, when a show is being developed and hasn't yet gone to air, it's likely to evolve. I have no idea what this series will really be like in the end. So far, it a lot of work and a even more stress every single day of the week. I'm reserving judgment until all the kinks are worked out, but the good news is, there are people working in television who don't think reality tv is good or interesting television. There are people working in television who are actually interested and engaged in current affairs and the world around them. These people work on news magazine shows.
Move. Work. Stress
It would be nice to sleep through the night.
Stress can make a good night's sleep elusive. Moving. UGH. It's always a pain in the butt... however, when one's landlord seems determined to force you to stay in an apartment you no longer wish to live in, despite the fact that you have given 30 days notice AND you found a new apartment to move into... lordy lord lord... the normal stress of moving is magnified 10-fold.
New job. More stress. Less sleep.
Oh to be sitting on the beach staring at the ocean...
